Founded with 100 percent domestic capital, PayTR, Turkey’s first domestic and national payment institution, has left its 10th anniversary behind. Founded in Izmir, the company is taking rapid steps towards becoming a financial giant today. In 2019, PayTR’s goal is to mediate payments of 2 billion liras and to double its foreign payments, which were 20 million dollars last year. <\/p>\n

Turkey’s first domestic and national payment institution and today has more than 10 thousand merchants Virtual Pos<\/strong><\/a> which offers payment taking, fraud prevention and one-click payment (card storage) services PayTR<\/strong><\/a><\/strong>continues its rapid rise in its 10th year. PayTR, which takes its place every year among Turkey’s Fastest Growing 100 companies announced by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), aims to grow by more than 100 percent in 2019 and to intermediate 2 billion lira payments and 20 million dollars of global payments. <\/p>\n

The company celebrated its 10th anniversary with an event hosted by PayTR Founder and Chairman Yi\u011fit Cengiz and PayTR General Manager Tar\u0131k Tombul with the participation of its business partners. <\/p>\n

Started with Garage Philosophy, Reached 10 Thousands of Businesses<\/strong><\/h2>\n

“In our entrepreneurial adventure that started with a single person in a 14m2<\/sup>office with a startup philosophy coming out of a garage in Izmir; Today, we are proud to have reached a structure that employs tens of people, pioneers the digitalization of thousands of SMEs, and provides virtual POS and payment services to over 10 thousand businesses and organizations including sports clubs, e-commerce sites and universities across Turkey”<\/em> He said.<\/p>\n

Underlining that Izmir is very important for PayTR, Cengiz continued his speech as follows:<\/h5>\n

“Just as the Port of Izmir has been the window of the products of these lands to the world for years, Izmir will assume the same role as the center of software and technology in the age of digital transformation. As PayTR, we want to create regional, then national and, as a result, international ecosystems.”<\/em><\/p>\n

In 2019, the target is to intermediate payments worth TL 2 billion<\/h2>\n

Underlining that they closed 2018 with over 100 percent growth, PayTR General Manager Tar\u0131k Tombul said<\/p>\n

“We have achieved many firsts and records in 10 years since the day we were founded. In 2018, as part of the restructuring process, we opened a liaison office in Istanbul in addition to the Izmir headquarters. Over the past year, we have completed software and hardware preparations, updated our strategies and created an employment plan to grow the team in line with the needs. We are taking firm steps towards our goals. In 2019, we foresee a growth of more than 100 percent and aim to mediate payments of 2 billion TL at the end of the year, doubling last year. On the other hand, we offer services to users not only in Turkey but also around the world. Last year, we intermediated 20 million dollars worth of international payments. Our goal for this year is to double this figure and support e-exports even more. On behalf of PayTR, I would like to thank everyone who is traveling with us on our journey.” <\/em>He said.<\/p>\n
