Founded in 2009 by Turkish engineers, the versatile fintech company PayTR, with its experienced team, strong corporate structure, and culture of innovation, develops innovative products and technologies to make the lives of its member businesses easier, providing a pioneering and sustainable payment experience. As of April 26, 2016, PayTR Payment and Electronic Money Institution Inc. is a licensed payment institution under Law No. 6493 on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services, and Electronic Money Institutions, making it one of Turkey’s established fintech companies.

In 2021, PayTR entered into an investment partnership with Turkey’s largest private equity fund, Actera, and as of June 2021, expanded its scope of operations with the approval of the CBRT to include an e-money license, starting to offer electronic money services.
